Irelands easiest to use classified ads website has landed!

Who are we???

Fetch.ie is Irelands easiest to use classified ads website and is based in Cavan town. We pride ourselves on how user friendly our site is in comparison to any other classified ads website in the country and also the support given by our friendly staff to our advertisers and users on a daily basis.

Why are we different to any other classified ads website??

Our Website is really really easy to use which means that buyers can easily find what they are looking for. If a buyer can find an item more easily, this means sellers can sell their items quicker.

We have a wide range of categories to choose from. Users can browse by category to find what they are looking for. Categories include Cars, Damaged Cars, Parts & Accessories, Dogs, Horses, Motorbikes, Jobs, and Announcements etc. Users who want to view all categories available can select ‘show all’ on the home page.

Users can refine their search by using the search options button. The search can be refined by location, price, category, trade or private ad, how current the ad is or using key words.

Users have the option to save any ads they are interested in as they are browsing the site and then view all saved ads, using the ‘my saved ads’ section. This means you can keep all your favourite ads together for easy reference.

It only takes a few moments to place an ad with us, using our easy four step process. We have tried to make it really easy for sellers to advertise their goods or services.

A seller can upload video and photos to their ad. We don’t place a limit on the number of photos a seller can attach to their ad so you can ad lots of photos. This means that buyers can see the item more clearly and generally the more visible an item is, the more likely it will sell.

Sellers can text their photos directly to their ad by taking a photo of their goods with their phone and simply texting (MMS) it to the number provided. Alternatively you can upload photos from your computer.

A seller can ‘bump’ their ad to position 1 at any stage so potential buyers will see their ad first.

We have included a ‘Manage your ads’ section for sellers which allows them to view, edit, bump, delete or add video and more photos to their ads at any time.

A seller’s email address is not visible to the public even when contact by email is selected. The sellers email address is hidden for security purposes.

A seller can see at any stage how many times their item for sale/service has been viewed by potential customers.

We have the facility for a seller to either pay for their ad by phone or by credit card with Pay-pal. Paying by phone is convenient for sellers who do not have credit cards as when they call the telephone number shown and type in the code the cost of the ad will be charged to their phone.

The Email & RSS Alerts section allows users to receive daily updates for ads they may find interesting to them.

What we want from you???

We love to hear from our website users and advertisers. It’s with your feedback and suggestions that we improve our website and make it better. Please contact us with any questions or support issues you may have. Again, we pride ourselves on the support given by our staff to our advertisers and users of our website on a daily basis.

Important Questions when buying a second hand car

When you are buying a second hand car from either a private seller or from a dealer there are a number of important questions you should ask.

Don’t be afraid to ask direct questions as after all it’s you that will be parting with your money.

If a seller is reluctant to answer your questions or doesn’t know the answers to any of these questions, you should seriously consider not proceeding with the deal as there are plenty of other second hand cars for sale. It is always advisable if you are buying from a private seller to have the car checked by a mechanic to ensure peace of mind.

  1. Has the car ever been crashed?
  2. Has the car had any bodywork completed (by you or previous owners)?
  3. What is the mileage on the car?
  4. How many previous owners has the car had?
  5. Is there any outstanding finance on the vehicle?
  6. When was the last full service carried out on the car and is there a service history?
  7. If buying from a dealer, what period of guarantee are they offering with the car and what does the guarantee cover (parts, labour, etc)
